Your donation will cover the cost of a 4-hour Alcohol Literacy Workshop (called the Think Twice© Workshop) for one person, which includes facilitation by a FARR Training Facilitator, training materials and resources and refreshments. This workshop is designed to promote the responsible use of alcohol and aims to:
- Explain the difference between alcohol use and abuse;
- Discuss the effects of alcohol use and abuse (physical and psycho-social);
- Provide an overview of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD);
- Raise awareness regarding the dangers of alcohol consumption during pregnancy;
- Discuss the role of partners in the prevention of FASD;
- Focus on recognizing a problem with abuse and equipping participants with decision-making skills;
- Share information regarding resources and strategies for assistance.
Important to note: no alcohol is consumed or present during this workshop
