How to Get Involved

Here are a few examples of how you could get involved:

  1. Sign up for a MySchool Card and add FARR as beneficiary

Every time you shop at Woolworths you will be giving back, as a percentage of your spend will be donated to FARR! Read more about the MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet Program and how to sign up for a card.

  2. Donate previously loved items to our FARR Preloved Shops

FARR currently has three Preloved Shops located in Trompsburg (Free State), Petrusville and Hanover (Northern Cape Province). Here preloved items are sold at a very low price and offer community members the opportunity to “shop” for what they like, want and need with pride. Read more about our Preloved Shops and the preloved items you could donate.

  3. Donate Knitted Baby Jerseys and other baby items

FARR gifts knitted baby jerseys (and other baby items when available) to pregnant women participating in our Healthy Mother Healthy Baby© Programme. Your donation will help to keep these little bodies warm during the cold winter months!

  4. Donate Children’s Books

Book reading is an essential part of FARR’s Knock-Knock Early Childhood Development Programme and when available are also gifted to the Pre-School children participating in the programme. Your donation will assist in fostering a love for reading and boost language development through reading and book sharing!

  5. Student Internship

FARR offers short-term internships to students in related fields of study on a volunteering basis. Contact us to find out more about our Student Internship application process.
